Best 4 Star Hotels in Tokyo 2024 (Local guide recommendations)

Going to Tokyo and want to stay in a more or less budget hotel, but still get great service? That’s right, you should choose one of the 4-star hotels in Tokyo. There are many good hotels in Japan’s capital city, but in this review we have selected 6 of the best. There are 23 administrative districts in Tokyo, but the most central are “Chioda” and “Chuo”. When choosing between these two areas we would recommend you to stay in “Chuo” because it has the busiest street Ginza which will keep you busy and you will have no problem with logistics when you go sightseeing. All the best 4 star hotels in Tokyo are in these two areas and most of them are in or near the “Chuo” area on the Ginza.

Top 5 best 4-star hotels in Tokyo

If you look at a map of Tokyo you will immediately notice a large concentration of hotels on Ginza Street, and there is a reason for that. Easy access to places like Asakusa, Akihabara, Fish Market (within walking distance), Garbage Island (Odaiba), Shibuya district (one subway line), and the Roppongi district. There is also the “Tokyo” railway station 5 minutes away by cab, from where the high-speed trains (“shinkansen”) go to Kyoto and Osaka. Therefore, if you have decided not to limit your trip to Japan to the city of Tokyo, be sure to book a hotel near the Ginza Street.

Konstantin Zuev (guide in Tokyo) has compiled this rating to advise you on a hotel in downtown Tokyo 4*.
