With the arrival of the monsoon, paddy seeds are sowed and nurtured to make the plant ready to be replanted later, which is the festival time. Meanwhile, the fields are plowed and leveled. Monsoon rains soon make, the field muddy and wet making it a perfect condition for planting paddy. The semi-grown paddy plant is uprooted and replanted in the muddy fields.
