Description of the tour

Tour itinerary: Kathmandu → Thimphu → Kathmandu

There is ample time to go to Bhutan's main cities, including Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and others. Along the way, you will encounter a vibrant Buddhist culture. After crossing the 3050-meter Dochula Pass with breathtaking views of the Himalayas, the tour continues into the subtropical Punakha Valley, where you will see the incredible Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakang, the temple of the "Divine Madman." Other stops on the itinerary include the Ta Dzong Museum, the Rimpong Dzong with its wooden cantilevered bridge and the infamous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) in the gorgeous Paro Valley, The National Memorial Chorten, the Changangkha Temple dating back to the 12th century, and the National Library displaying ancient scriptures in Bhutan's capital, Thimphu. A 6-day cultural trip of Bhutan, which includes stops in Thimphu, Paro, Punakha, and Gangtey, provides a comprehensive look into the country's interior. Usually, the journey starts in Paro, where the backdrop of tranquil scenery and ancient buildings is present. Admire the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), which is built on a cliff and exhibits the depth of Bhutan's spirituality and architectural mastery. Travelers may see a distinctive fusion of modernity and traditional customs in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, where they can see sites like the Tashichho Dzong and the Buddha Dordenma Statue.
