Description of the tour

Tour itinerary: Kathmandu

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and explore the city on your own.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,610m) In the morning, you'll take a short flight to Lukla, the starting point of the trek. From there, you'll start trekking towards Phakding, which will take around 3-4 hours. Along the way, you'll enjoy the scenic beauty of the Dudh Koshi River and the surrounding green hills.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Today, you'll trek to Namche Bazaar, which will take around 6-7 hours. The trail passes through beautiful pine forests and crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Namche Bazaar is a popular trading hub in the Everest region, and you'll get to explore the town and visit the local market.

Day 4: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar Today is a rest day to help your body acclimatize to the altitude. You can spend the day exploring the town and visiting the local museum, or you can take a short hike to the nearby Khunde and Khumjung villages.

Day 5: Trek to Phortse Thanga (3,680m) After breakfast, you'll start trekking towards Phortse Thanga, which will take around 5-6 hours. Along the way, you'll pass through several small villages and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Trek to Machhermo (4,470m) Today's trek will take around 4-5 hours, and you'll pass through several small villages along the way. You'll also get to see stunning views of the mountains, including Cho Oyu and Thamserku.

Day 7: Trek to Gokyo (4,800m) Today's trek will take around 4-5 hours, and you'll climb steadily towards Gokyo. Along the way, you'll pass through the village of Pangka and cross the Ngozumpa Glacier. Gokyo is a beautiful village situated on the shores of the Gokyo Lake, and you'll get to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 8: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and back to Gokyo Today is the highlight of the trek, as you'll hike up to Gokyo Ri, which offers stunning views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. The hike will take around 3-4 hours, and you'll need to start early in the morning to avoid the crowds. After enjoying the views from the top, you'll hike back down to Gokyo.

Day 9: Trek to Dole (4,200m) Today, you'll retrace your steps back to Dole, which will take around 5-6 hours. Along the way, you'll get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and forests.

Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Today's trek will take around 5-6 hours, and you'll pass through several small villages along the way. You'll also get to see stunning views of the mountains.

Day 11: Fly back to Kathmandu Today, you'll take a short flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you can spend the rest of the day in Thamel. And at night you will be served with the farewell dinner.

Important notes

We recommend that you start jogging for an hour a day for at least two to three weeks in your country before you begin the Everest Gokyo peak trek. This will help you and boost your stamina while hiking.
