Description of the tour

Tour itinerary: Antananarivo → Antsirabe → Morondava → Bekopaka → Belo sur Mer → Morombe → Salary → Antananarivo

DAY 1 : HOME COUNTRY - ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE 

When you are arrived at the airport, we will be there waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it. After picking you up at the airport we will drive to Antsirabe 

Overnight in Antsirabe at flower palace hotel or similar.

DAY 2 : ANTSIRABE - MORONDAVA

Starting early morning We will do a city tour to discover the city and visit the factory of the horn of zebu,then drive to Morondava. On the way you will enjoy seeing the amazing landscapes of the southwest and a lot of villages and villagers. You are going to see many zebus and some baobabs along the way in few kilometers before Morondava.

DAY 3 : MORONDAVA - BEKOPAKA

Today after breakfast we will drive to Bekopaka a village which is the gate way of the Tsingy of Bemaraha national park, We will drive through the baobab alley. We will do some quick stop over here to get first feeling of this paradise place then continue to Bekopaka. On the way we will be crossing 2 different rivers on ferry boats. After the first ferry we will stop to have lunch to the town which called Belo sur Tsiribihina. After lunch we will continue our way further to Bekopaka and few kilometers before bekopaka we will cross another river again which is called Manambolo river. After the last ferry we will drive about for few minutes to reach our hotel.

DAY 4 : VISIT OF TSINGY DE BEMARAHA NATIONAL PARK
On day 4 we will spend a day with nature discovering the Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park. The Bemaraha Tsingy is classified is a UNESCO world heritage site and the biggest protected area by the Malagasy State. At the Tsingy we will see the “cathedral”, the “view point”, the hanging bridge and see many of the indigenous animals that live here, such as, the Sifaka lemur and Common brown lemur. We will also see wild birds and the biggest carnivore in Madagascar called Fossa. We will also see different kinds of indigenous plants such as the “palissandre”. After lunch, we will continue our excursion into the smaller section of the Tsingy.

DAY 5 : BEKOPAKA - MORONDAVA

On day 5 After breakfast we will travel south to the city of Morondava, on our way to Morondava we see the “In love Baobab”, which is the unique scene of two large Baobab trees that have grown together intertwined. These tree symbolizes the union of two lovers and many couples come here to renew their vows. After “In Love Baobab” we will continue our drive to admire the most popular sunset in all of Madagascar...the sunset at Baobab Alley. The Baobabs located in this region have been around for eight hundred years old and it is one of the most popular attractions in all of Madagascar. After our sunset experience at Baobab Alley we will continue our drive to our final destination for the day Morondava. Upon arrival into Morondava we will check into our hotel and settle in for the evening.

DAY 6 : MORONDAVA - BELO SUR MER

Early morning departure to reach Belo Sur Mer. Today we start with the off road which takes about 5 days to complete about 350 km ! You will go through some desert areas where the white sand and the remnants of salt make the new and fascinating landscape. We will arrive in Belo Sur Mer around lunch time, around 2 pm, and have the afternoon free to discover this delightful, and tiny, fishing village that yes transforms according to the tides. Belo Sur Mer is famous for the construction of boats and canoes that are still made in mono, here you can visit the construction site.

DAY 07 : BELO SUR MER – MOROMBE 

Departure in the morning immediately after breakfast to continue to Morombe, a little one fishing village on the coast. This will be the last particularly challenging section before getting to the wonderful salary Bay. We will arrive at the village around 16.30, lunch will be taken as picnic. you will have some time, before it gets dark, to walk along the beach or visit the village (rather small).

DAY 8 : MOROMBE - SALARY

Today after your breakfast we will drive to Salary where you will see more amazing beach and discover more villages and meet local people by driving across spiny forests.

DAY 9 : SALARY BEACH BEACH 

Day of leisure by the paradise beaches of salary bay. During your stay you can do snorkeling, scuba diving, boat sailing and whale watching when you are here during the season.

DAY 10 : SALARY - IFATY  

Late morning departure to reach Ifaty, the last village on the coast before starting the way back to Antananarivo. Ifaty is a small seaside village, along the beach you can do shopping among the stalls or a dip in the pool, or at the sea.Arrival in the afternoon. Free evening.

 DAY 11 : IFATY – RANOHIRA 

Departure in the morning after breakfast from Ifaty to reach Ranohira along the legendary RN7. From the coast you will enter and drive through the highlands of the country. Route nationale 7 (RN7) is one main road in Madagascar that runs 980 km from the capital Antananarivo to Tulear, on the south-west coast of the country. Cross the regions of Analamanga, Vakinankaratra, Amoron'i Mania, Haute Matsiatra, Ihorombe and Atsimo-Andrefana. Arrival in Ranohira before sunset. Free evening.

 DAY 12 : ISALO NATIONAL PARK DISCOVERY 

Trekking to the National park of Isalo. Early morning departure for the last real adventure in Madagascar, a trek of about 8 hours among the majestic canyons of the Isalo that will end in the forest between Lemurs and Chameleons. The Isalo National Park is located 226 km south-west of Fianarantsoa and extends over one area of 81,540 hectares of land characterized by grasslands, sandstone massifs carved by the wind and water that create a landscape of striking beauty. Inside the park there are 55 species of birds, 3 species of lemurs (Catta, the black-headed lemur and Verreaux's Sifaka). In the driest areas the Pachipodiu m blooms between September and October. The main attraction of the park is certainly constituted by the rock formations, the canyons and the natural pools, ideal for a refreshing bath. The forest vegetation is concentrated in the part low in the canyons where there is water, the UapacaBojeri tree is endemic to this area fire resistant; on the rocks grow other endemic plants such as the pachypodium and the paws of elephant (Aloe isaloenis). In the Park there are different types of routes which can be accessed from different areas. We recommend the route of about 8 hours, with lunch break included, which leads to the natural pools, to Canyon des Singes. The route can be decided with the guide who is always available to accompany you along the path you prefer.

 DAY 13 : RANOHIRA – RANOMAFANA 

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to Ranomafana…On the way we will stop at Anja reserve to see more ring-tailled lemurs and some chameleon species, after the visit we will continue and have lunch at Ambalavao then keep driving till Ranomfana. On the way you will be enjoying the amazing sceneries and see a lot people sailing honey and species along the way and beautiful rice fields.

 DAY 14 : RANOMAFANA VISIT 

Today enjoy full day of exploration of this amazing rain forest national park which is one of largest rain forests we have in Madagascar. You will enjoy seeing several species of lemurs, birds and plant as well as waterfalls. In the afternoon you can decide to spend your time by swimming at the natural hot spring pool or visit the botanical garden to see some more chameleons and nice garden.

 DAY 15 : RANOMAFANA – ANTSIRABE 

Early morning departure to Antsirabe the road will be long to return to Antsirabe. You are already on the legendary RN7 that connects Antananarivo with Tuelar, and that is a journey in the journey, so much to be able to make a separate circuit, but today during tour driving you will passing through scenarios quickly changing. You will pass through mountain villages, rice fields and breathtaking views. Nature changes again, reminding us how majestic and different this country is to end in beauty but above all leaving us with the desire to return as soon as possible a. Arrival in Antsirabe in the late afternoon.

 DAY 16 : ANTSIRABE - ANANANARIVO - HOME COUNTRY 

After your early breakfast (depending on your international flight time ) we will drive to Antananarivo onwards to the airport for you to fly back to your lovely home country. On the you enjoy for the last time the beauty of the great landscape and vegetation of the highland.When we reach Antananarivo we will drive straight to the airport and we have to be at least 2 hours before your check-in time.
