HIGHLIGHTS
Trek to the base of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest
Hike through traditional Sherpa villages & learn more about their Buddhist culture
Visit old hermitages and ancient monasteries
Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas
This 14-day, guided Everest Base Camp trek takes you to where Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay stood before their famous ascent of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest (8,848m). This trip is your opportunity to see some of the highest mountains in the world and hike through the Unesco-listed Sagarmatha National Park. Along the trail, you will be amazed by the up-close views of snow-capped peaks. Four of the tallest mountains in the world are in this region, and the sheer size of these mountains makes you feel small and insignificant.

In addition to mountains, this trip also acts as a portal into the lives and culture of the people who live in this part of the world. Since Tengboche Monastery is part of your itinerary, you will also get the chance to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism.

Important notes

NEED HELP OR HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THIS TOUR? If you have any question about this EBC Trek or need help with planning a trip, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Everest base camp Trek Tea houses/ accommodations One of the popular treks and at lower altitudes most tea houses will have flush toilets and hot water showers; usually at a cost of around US$ 5/6USD, you can find a suitable accommodation/tea house during Everest base camp trek. The communal area in tea houses tends to be the dining room, in the center of which will be large yak dung burning stove to heat the whole guest house. So if going to Everest base camp during high season like Oct November and April, May. It is much difficult to find a guest house/accommodation because they are a large number of trekkers on a trail they are already reservations a room one or two months before they get very easily room /accommodations. How fit should you be before you go Everest Base camp Trek? You should be in the best physical shape possible before embarking on your trek and preferably do some Trekking at altitude a few months before heading to a different party county to help your body acclimatize. If you don’t have mountains near where you live, try to get out for a few multi-day hikes to help your body become accustomed to the routine of Trekking over consecutive days. How much money do I need to bring with me? Your personal budget obviously depends on your spending habits and what is included in your trip cost. If accommodation is included during a trek , but meals are not, we would suggest that you bring around 35 USD per day per person for meals. Having a hot shower or charging your device sometimes costs extra. There are also sometimes small crafts/souvenirs to buy along the trekking route which you may want to bring extra money bring with you. Also, consider whether you would be staying in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur/ Patan before or after your trek
